A world-class expert in the field of hair restoration, Dr. Dr. Gary Hitzig has published articles in eminent academic journals, received awards from prominent dermatologic societies, and guest lectured at professional conferences. Garnering national attention for his contribution to a WNBC medical segment on auto-cloning of beard hairs in November 2003, Dr. Gary Hitzig published his work on auto cloning in the peer-reviewed Cosmetic Dermatology journal and the news magazine Dermatology Times. In addition, Dr. Gary Hitzig has published articles on separate subjects in the American Journal of Cosmetic Surgery (AJCS), the Yearbook of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and the Journal of Dermatologic Surgery & Oncology. In June 2004, Dr. Gary Hitzig received the Pinnacle Award from the Italian Society for Hair Restoration (ISHR) for his excellence in hair restoration teaching and research. Dr. Gary Hitzig is also the recipient of a Millennium Award for his lifetime achievement in hair restoration surgery. As a guest lecturer, Dr. Gary Hitzig has spoken at a number of national and global forums and conventions. In February 2004, Dr. Gary Hitzig presented his talk “Understanding Hair Loss and Restoration in Women” at Pathway Women’s Health. Earlier in his career, Dr. Gary Hitzig addressed the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, discussing his patented invention, the Hitzig Linear (Slot) Graft. Additionally, Dr. Gary Hitzig has presented his knowledge of hair restoration techniques to the World Congress on Hair Restoration Surgery, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery.
